Programme Synopsis

The SMU FICS Professional Certificate in Corporate Relationship Management aims to provide participants with the essential competencies in servicing and managing key corporate accounts.

The curriculum focuses on client profiling, acceptance evaluation, account planning, understanding client needs, develop effective solutions to support clients’ banking needs, wallet sizing and account monitoring.

The programme comprises of the following modules:

Unique features
Case studies, presentation and/or role plays are included to provide participants with hands-on experience in the job function, which serves to reinforce the technical knowledge and application of competency skills.

Scope of Accreditation
The programme is accredited under Job Role IV. A person in this role would have the following job responsibilities:

• Performs a specialist function in relationship management.
• Has personal budget and bottom line responsibility
• Possesses a high degree of personal accountability, decision-making authority and risk management skills.
• Operates in an environment which is largely non-routine, unpredictable and complex.

Who should attend?

Credit officers, relationship managers and account managers. Officers with at least 6 months experience at officer level with a lending department. Staff not working in lending department should preferably have at least one to two years of banking experience. Minimum of bachelor’s degree required.
