Programme Synopsis

The SMU FICS Training: Processing & Settlement of Complex Products (V) aims to provide participants with the essential competencies to process, verify and ensure proper settlements of transactions for complex financial instruments in the global wholesale financial market.

The curriculum focuses on critical practical aspects of processing financial instruments such as exotic options, credit derivatives and structured products, including collateral management and client portfolio valuation.

Curriculum includes comprehensive coverage of exotic options, credit derivatives and structure products, and key competencies to process and settle complex instrument, as well as critical operational and accounting controls. Case studies and discussions are used to provide participants with hands-on experience in the job function.

Who should attend?

Banking staff in operations, middle office staff, treasury managers, business analysts, operations risk managers, product controllers, financial controllers, IT application support, auditors, compliance and internal control officers. Minimum of bachelor’s degree required, preferably with at least 3 years’ experience in global markets operations.
