The SMU FICS Training: Debt Origination, Structuring & Syndication (IV) aims to provide participants with the essential competencies to structure, price and execute debt capital origination and syndication transactions.

The curriculum focuses on origination, structuring, pricing, marketing and syndication of fixed income capital fund raising activities.

Case studies and discussions are used to provide participants with hands-on experience in the job function, which serves to reinforce the technical knowledge and application of competency skills.

The trainers are banking professionals with experience in the origination, structure, pricing, negotiation, credit approval, client management, deal syndication and global distribution.

Scope of Accreditation
The programme is accredited under Job Role IV. A person in this role would have the following job responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing a supporting role in a debt origination and syndication role.
• Possesses some personal accountability, decision-making authority and risk management skills but has limited bottom-line responsibility.
• Operates in an environment which is largely non-routine, unpredictable and complex.

Who should attend?

Professionals with about 1-2 year’s working experience in equity or debt capital markets such as those from corporate finance, origination and syndication desk, fixed income sales, treasury sales, fixed income analyst and fund managers. Corporate issuers who are involved in corporate finance, treasury management and business development activities will also benefit from the programme.
